Funeral services for Phyllis I. Prince, 72, of Wayne, formerly of Winside, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 at Winside United Methodist Church in Winside. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 6 at Winside United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery at Winside.
Phyllis passed away Monday, April 29, 2024 at Wayne Countryview Care.
Memorials may be directed to the Prince family.

Phyllis Irene Prince was born May 2, 1951 in Norfolk to Cecil Charles and Memphis Virginia (Tibbs) Prince. She grew up in Winside and graduated Valedictorian of her class from Winside High School in 1969. She attended Wayne State College and graduated with a Bachelors degree in 1973. She lived in San Diego, California more than 20 years before returning to Winside where she worked in the school lunch program and as an assistant at the Winside Public Library. After retirement, she moved to Wayne.
Survivors include two brothers, Russell (Lorraine) Prince of Winside, and Chuck Prince of Wayne; cousins; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents, Cecil and Memphis, and a brother, Buford.
