Services for Lois V. Krueger, 96, of Wayne formerly of Winside, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 30 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Winside. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, July 30 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Winside. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.

Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Lois died Friday July 19, 2024 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Lois Vernell Krueger was born Oct. 4, 1927 near Wakefield to Fred and Meta (Lilje) Ruser. She was baptized, confirmed, and attended school at Immanuel Lutheran Church northeast of Wayne.  She graduated from Concord High School and attended Commercial Extension School in Omaha. She worked for an insurance company and grocery store before her marriage.  Lois married Dale Krueger Feb. 14, 1948 at Immanuel Lutheran Church northeast of Wayne.  The couple farmed near Winside for many years. Lois was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Winside where she was a Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher, and was a member of E.L.C.A.  She took school census for District #95R for 40 years. Lois loved doing crafts, quilting, and bowling.  

Survivors include her grandchildren; Jason (Wendy) Krueger of Lemoyne, Cory (Amber) Miller of Silver Creek, Tawnya Krueger of Omaha, Wendy (Bill) Borman of Ventura, California, Jodi (Jaimey) Holdorf of Bennington, and Ryan (Laura) Krueger of Gretna; great-grandchildren; Rylie Krueger, McKenna Krueger, Bayler Holdorf, Maysen Holdorf, Carter Borman, Braysen Miller, Kinley Holdorf, Kiersten Borman, Addison Krueger and Cash Krueger; brother-in-law, Lyle (Germaine) Krueger of Norfolk  nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Dale Feb. 8, 2019; son, Dean in 1999; daughter, Diane Miller in 2023, son-in-law, Randy Miller in 2001; three sisters; multiple brothers-sisters-in-law.
