PALS Baseball game provides opportunity for children

Community members recently had the opportunity to attend a baseball game showcasing the Providence (Pushing All Limits) P.A.L.S. youth.

The Pushing All Limits Program believes that "every child should have the opportunity to participate in any activity that they want."

The PALS program combines sensory, gross motor and sport activities which will improve strength, flexibility, balance, direction following and confidence.

Last week's game was held at Hank Overin Field in Wayne and allowed youth the opportunity to test the skills they have acquired this summer.

Youth in grades kindergarten through 12th grade who have minimal to moderate challenges including developmental delay, attention deficit, autism, sensory issues, coordination problems, fear of movement and more were welcome to join.

Practice for those in the PALS program was held each Tuesday and Thursday during the month of June.

Providence Therapy Services will also offer Summer fitness classes each Tuesday and Thursday through July 25 between 10 – 11 a.m. at the Providence Therapy Department located at 1200 Providence Road.

Reach out to the Wayne location at 402-375-7937 with any questions by asking for Molly or Sydney.

Providence Therapy also has service locations in Wakefield at 308 Ash Street and can be reached at 402-287-1005 and Laurel at 699 Cedar Ave. with a contact number of 402-256-9551.
