Rolling Hills Supply Post 43 Juniors face off against Omaha Kelly Ryan Post 1

Day three of postseason Junior American Legion baseball showcased a bounce back victory for the Rolling Hills Supply Post 43 Wayne Juniors.

From Veterans Memorial Field in Blair, #1 Post 43 fought off elimination during the Class B Area 3 Tournament.

Rolling Hills Supply Wayne secured a 6-0 win over #6 Omaha Kelly Ryan Post 1 (Roncalli Catholic) to improve to 16-4.

Following two scoreless innings, Wayne plated two runs in the top of the third. Two more scoreless innings occurred in the fourth and fifth before Post 43 added four more runs in the sixth.

Final favored Rolling Hills Supply Post 43 Wayne Juniors winning 6-0 as both teams recorded four hits.

Gavin Anderson doubled and scored while Jaxson Kneifl singled and drove in a run.

Drew Reinhardt singled and scored, Adrian Contreras singled as Carter Wiese and Brayden Rajaee-Hallgren both scored.

Kneifl (106 pitches) picked up the win in five and two-thirds allowing three hits while striking out two batters and walking four. Alex Rodriguez (24) worked the final inning and a third allowing one hit while striking out two batters and walking one.

#1 Rolling Hills Supply Post Wayne 43 Juniors will next fight off elimination against the host #3 Blair Post 154 due to Note 1 (previous opponents will not match against each other unless absolutely necessary).

On Sunday, #2 West Point Post 70 also fought off elimination thanks to a 9-1 victory over #5 Platte River (Schuyler) while the two undefeated teams favored #4 Valparaiso Post 371 winning 11-3 over #3 Blair Post 154.

Valparaiso won 4-1 against Wayne on Saturday while Blair won 9-7 over West Point also on Saturday for the reason of opponents being switched on the bracket.
